The Christmas Story - Catholic Students Arts Exhibition (Years 5 & 6)
The winning artwork and up to 60 pieces will be displayed in the Cathedral Crypt daily throughout December from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm.

Annual Carol Service at 7.30 pm
The Cathedral's spectacular and renowned Christmas Carols Service and Readings with the St Mary's Cathedral Choir. Presided over by Cardinal Pell, the night will consist of a rich selection of traditional carols and liturgical Christmas music.

Sacred Voices Christmas Song Cycle 'Southern Star' at 3.30 pm in the Crypt, St Mary's Cathedral
Jesuit priest and composer, Fr Christopher Willcock has collaborated with writer/cartoonist Michael Leunig to produce pieces reflecting on the birth and life of Jesus Christ. Performed by the Cathedral Voices with the trebles and two altos of the Cathedral Choir.

This year the Biennial Conference (being hosted by the Diocesan Liturgical Commission of Parramatta) will focus on the pastoral/ liturgical challenges that confront us with assemblies that often have had little or no liturgical catechesis.

The National Conference "Wine, Whales & Wildflowers" is being hosted by the WA branch of the Australian Association for Religious Education.

The Registration Brochure is now available and can be accessed via the AARE Website (www.aare.org.au)

The Conference boasts:

Endorsement / support from the State Government, the Jewish & Islamic Communities, the Baptist, Anglican, Lutheran, Orthodox, Uniting and of course Catholic Churches.
We have an endorsement from the Catholic Archbishop of Perth, Archbishop Hickey and Bishop Don Sproxton will help open the Conference.
We have received a special Papal Blessing for delegates at the Conference.
